Our care for adults

At St Andrew’s Hospice, we care for and support anyone of any age affected by life-limiting conditions, or coming to the end of their life.

You can come and go as you please, order takeaways, bring your pets – at St Andrew’s Hospice, it’s all about you.

Our vision ‘Making Day Count’ is more than words – it is a reality for the adults, children and families who use our services.

Our Care

The following services are available free of charge at St Andrew’s Hospice to anyone over the age of 18, who has been diagnosed with a palliative or life-limiting condition.

The adult inpatient unit at St Andrew’s Hospice is a welcoming, homely environment where patients can receive round-the-clock nursing care and compassion. We provide symptom control, respite, rehabilitation and end-of-life care for people over the age of 18, with a life-limiting illness.

Our Wellbeing services help you to live well by being as in control of your condition as possible and, where appropriate, achieve the things that are important to you.

Our specialist Lymphoedema service provides advice, support and treatment for patients who have secondary lymphoedema related to a cancer diagnosis or progressive life-limiting disease.

Our family support team consists of social workers, caseworkers, social welfare officers and a spiritual care lead. They will work closely with you to provide practical, emotional, financial and spiritual support.

St Andrew’s Hospice delivers the North East Lincolnshire Bereavement Support Service, offering free and confidential support to adults and children who have suffered bereavement in the local area.
