Get Involved

Raising money for a charity you believe in is one of the most fabulous feelings and we are here to assist however we can. We promise that if you fundraise for St Andrew’s Hospice or Andy’s, your donations will be used to provide comfort and compassionate care for people in our local community with a life-limiting illness, as well as providing support to their family.

It costs nearly £18,000 a day to run St Andrew’s Hospice, of which just 18% is funded by the government. Our vision ‘Making Each Day Count’ is more than words – it is a reality for the adults, children and families who use our services, and is only made possible thanks to the generosity of our community.

The support, donations and volunteering commitments we receive from local businesses, organisations and community groups is vital. Whether through match funding, salary gifts, team building or naming us as your charity of the year, we will work alongside you to ensure you benefit from increased brand awareness and positive PR whilst also making a difference to your community. Email sahos.fundraising@nhs.net for more information.

Recycle your Christmas tree with St Andrew's Hospice, and help us to raise money to support adults, children and families living with life-limiting illness.

You can support St Andrew’s Hospice by leaving a gift in your will. No matter the size, your gift will help ensure that we can continue to provide free, holistic end of life care and support to those who need it. Writing a Will is usually an inexpensive process and ensures your wishes are fulfilled. To find out more, download our leaflet or visit our Gifts in Wills page.

Remember your loved ones by making a donation dedicated to their memory. You could do this by donating directly using our online form or by setting up a memory fund on JustGiving, where you can include a picture and treasured memories of your loved one.

If you wish to request donations in lieu of flowers at your loved one’s funeral, we can provide collection boxes or personalised envelopes. Or why not dedicate a stunning engraved leaf on our Memory Tree, as a lasting honour to someone special.

You can also create a free tribute on MuchLoved, enabling others to make donations and add their own messages and memories.

We also host a number of fundraising events  throughout the year including Light Up A Life, where we celebrate the lives of loved ones together.

For more information, download our leaflet.

By signing up to Gift Aid, you can instantly add an extra 25% to your donation – at absolutely no cost to you. If you are a UK taxpayer and become a Gift Aid supporter, we will receive £1.25 for every £1 you donate. These extra funds mean we can be there for even more adults, children and families living with life-limiting illness.

Sign up to Gift Aid by filling out this simple online form.

There are a number of other ways you can support us. Shop for free through Easy Fundraising or Give as you Live Online and enable us to receive a small donation at no extra cost to you.

You could also donate a gift in kind; an item, service or skill provided for free or at a discounted rate. They can be anything from concert tickets to food and drink, toys or vouchers!
