Therapeutic Activities

At St Andrew’s Hospice, we recognise the value of therapeutic activities and the importance of creating positive and lasting memories to share with loved ones. Our workshops provide patients with the chance to create meaningful mementos that will be treasured for years to come.

Allowing emotions to flow, especially those that cannot be verbalised, and memories to be created, either independently or with loved ones. There are a variety of different memory work options available, and the team can support you to create your individualised memory work pieces which can be passed on to those who are important to you.

Themes include capturing memories, giving patients one-to-one support to create something with personal meaning either for themselves or to pass on to family and friends. Patients are assisted to use a combination of craft materials, techniques and words to create their legacy piece. Examples include creative writing, jewellery making and clay workshops.
